The brick built temple is dedicated to Lord Siva. It lies on the nothern bank of the Bramaputra River.
The temple consists of sanctum proper.Over it the domical silkhara is raised, which is clustered by anga-silkharas all around.A porch infront of the sanctum is covered by a low do-chala roof reminiscent of Assamese hut pattern.
The temple is said to be built by Ahom king Rajesvar Singha (CE 1751-1769).
